The "Whitings left behind" are signing in again. We have had a great November. We just got back from our traditional trip to the Dunes for Thanksgiving. We had a great time and all returned safe and sound -- and for that I am always grateful! We have fun riding our quads and the Sand rail. We hang out with the Scott family, eating lots of great food and playing around. We had fun chatting around the fire and watching movies together.
Tonya had this last week off, one of the few she will have as a first year Resident. She has been working at Good Samaritan Hospital. She will have to work on Christmas Day and New Year's Day so we wanted to make sure that we spent this time with her at the Dunes.
Trevor and Megan are excited to have a baby in May 2009. Trey and I are thrilled to be Grandparents!! Trevor is running Sun Silks for Trey and Megan works at Montessori Education Centre as a teacher assistant. Megan is also taking the Infant Toddler Montessori Training.
Tyler and Jenna are both working and going to school. Tyler works for Trey at Great Gates and Jenna works at Montessori Education Centre as a teacher assistant. Jenna will graduate in May of 2009 and then plans on taking the AMS Montessori training for First to Third Grade.
Thomas is in the Illinois Chicago North Mission. He has learned Spanish and loves his mission. He will be home August 1, 2009.
Trent is attending Mesa High as a Sophomore. He has only missed 8 days of school this semester. He had an accident on his quad January of 2007 and from that time for 18 months he had many tests for various conditions, both gastric and otherwise. He was never diagnosed with anything definitive, however, he is now doing great and we are so very grateful.
Tanner is attending Taylor Junior High as an Eighth grader. He sings in the Concert Choir and gets straight As in all of his classes. He played in a Fall baseball league and we had fun watching him.
We have a "Whiting Thanksgiving book" and our goal is to write 1000 things that we are grateful for before Christmas. Over this weekend we wrote 250 things so we are on the way to achieving our goal! Writing out what we are grateful for helps strengthen my feelings of gratitude and fills my heart with happiness for my life.
Love,
Tammy
